Waxplay Safety Instructions
Thank you for choosing our artisan, low-temperature candle. Made with natural waxes and skin-safe ingredients, it’s designed for sensual warmth. Your safety and experience are our priority. Please read all instructions carefully before use.
Before Your First Use: A Patch Test is Essential
Even with natural ingredients, skin sensitivity varies.
-
Light the candle and allow a small pool of wax to form.
-
Extinguish the flame completely and let the wax cool for 10-15 seconds.
-
Using a clean finger, dab a very small amount of the warm (not hot) wax on a discreet area of skin, like the inside of your wrist.
-
Wait 15 minutes to check for any adverse reaction (redness, itching, irritation).
-
If no reaction occurs, the candle is likely safe for you to use. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
Step-by-Step Usage Guide
1. Prepare the Area:
-
Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, curtains, bedding, or other flammable materials.
-
Have a towel or mat down to protect surfaces. The wax, while low-temperature, may still stain fine linens or furniture.
-
Keep hair tied back.
2. Lighting & Melting:
-
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before lighting for a clean, even burn.
- For fluorescent style, it is recommended to expose the candle to UV light before use; the longer the exposure, the better the effect.
3. Testing the Temperature:
-
For first-time use, begin by dropping the wax from a distance of 16in-20in onto your hand to test the temperature and find the suitable distance for yourself.
4. Application:
-
Slowly pour a small amount of wax onto your partner’s skin.
-
Start with areas with less sensitivity (e.g., the back, shoulders) before moving to more sensitive areas.
-
Do not accumulate too much wax at once, as the more wax stored, the higher the temperature.
-
Avoid pouring wax on the face, genitals, or broken skin. The low temperature is safer, but these areas are extremely sensitive.
5. Aftercare & Cleanup:
-
The wax will solidify on the skin and can be easily peeled or rubbed off.
-
Any residue can be removed with a small amount of oil (like coconut or baby oil) followed by soap and water.
Critical Safety Warnings
-
NEVER use high-temperature paraffin or standard candles for this purpose. Only use candles specifically designed and tested as “low-temperature” or “sensual” candles.
-
NEVER pour wax on the same area repeatedly without allowing the skin to cool.
-
NEVER leave a burning candle unattended.
-
ALWAYS keep the candle away from children and pets.
-
Fire Hazard: Do not burn the candle all the way down. Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains.
